U2, Sevilla, 360º Tour

Me quedé con la gana de ir a ese concierto Eutópico. Me quedé con la gana de compartir esos momentos buenos por fin. Quise resarcirme, así que compré a última hora la entrada para U (viejunos) 2 el jueves 30 de septiembre en Sevilla.

Tras pasar Interpol sin pena ni gloria por el escenario (una pena, son una banda en alza), llegó el momento de Bono y los suyos en torno a las 22. Mientras tanto el espectacular ambiente, el impresionante escenario y los inmejorables estados de ánimo de la gente mantuvieron la tensión hasta los máximos habituales.

Cuando pago por un concierto (y este año ya van unos pocos) espero que el cantante dé espectáculo. No solo que toquen y canten bien, sino que muevan algo en el interior de los asistentes, que te provoquen, que te hagan reír, que se conviertan en unos ídolos momentáneos. Bono lo consiguió con creces. Desde el primer momento con sus bailes asíncronos y su desparpajo se ganó al público sevillano. Bien es cierto que es el reflejo ensayado de los conciertos anteriores, pero no se le puede pedir más.

El setlist del concierto, obviando los snippets que intercalaron en muchas canciones, creo recordar que fue el siguiente (hay videos del concierto de Sevilla, pero se ven/oyen bastante mal):

(Aquí subió a la chiquilla al escenario y la multitud entera clamaba que le diese un morreo. Anda que llego a subir yo y me lo pienso. Le hubiera dado un filetazo seguro en esos labios irlandeses)

(apenas conocía esta canción tan emocionante)

13. City of blinding lights

(fue cuando bajaron las pantallas a lo colmena y empezó el juego de luces espídico)

Probablemente fue una de las canciones de la noche, con el mashup de Relax muy conseguido. La única canción en que Larry Mullen se bajó de la batería. El comienzo hipnótico del video con las cabezas batientes de ellos me recordó a la aparición de Iggy Pop en el video He’s Frank de The BPA (Fatboy Slim para los amigos)

(nunca entenderé el gran éxito de esta canción como una canción supuestamente romántica. “No puedo vivir con o sin ti”. Lo cual quiere decir: me importas 3 leches. Ahí lo llevas. Ahora vas y los cascas)

Para terminar, una reflexión barata: Sevilla, calor, y Bono sudando durante dos horas en unos pantalones de cuero negros. ¡Cómo acabarían los huevos del Sir!
